Paralympics Tokyo

In one of our task for topics we studied about Paralympics Tokyo. I learnt so many things about the Paralympics, things like how they used to run it and when they first did it. Paralympics changed a lot that's one thing I really noticed. In Tokyo they didn't really get much privilege because they were disabled. Here are some work I did!

Over the lockdown we've been doing online school. One of Jerusalem's daily task is writing a poem each day. Each day we've been learning how to write a poem in different ways. One of my favourite poem is a haiku poem I just find them interesting and quick to make. Here are some poems that I've been making this week.

For maths we've been learning about pi what it means and how to solve one. Today I completed my work and its was pretty easy to solve, here are some of my work that I've completed!

So today we went to the supermarket and we check the nutrition facts and write it down in our sheets. Before we went to the supermarket Jessica who does food for thought teach us how to check nutrition facts and how much sugar was at a drink, I learnt so many things about foods thanks to Jessica.  

Mission Market day

 Mission Market day 

For our Mission market day year 7 and 8 had a chance to do a mission market day. Mission market day is a day where the year 7 and 8 gets to sell stuff or do fun activities. The money we raised will go to Caritas. It is a really good thing that we do this because we are helping many people that need help. This year we raised about $1,403. Doing mission market day was really fun and next year hopefully we raise twice the amount we earned, sadly I didn’t have any pictures but if I had I would show it to you.

 Stop wasting your time let’s make sushi

Let’s make sushi, making sushi should not be rushed. You should have patience while making it because if you rush the sushi will just fall apart and it will not look as pleasant. Making sushi sometimes could be difficult, sometimes it could be easy depending on the sushi you make. Some chefs spend decades learning how to make the perfect sushi rice or cut raw fish like a boss and it will improve the skills that you already know. 

The process of making sushi is really easy but like what I said some could be difficult to make, but today we are going to be learning how to make basic sushi. What you will be needing is nori sheets. It is basically the base of the sushi, but some types of sushi doesn't need nori sheets but since we're making basic sushi we will be needing nori sheets. The second thing we’re going to need is rice, avocado, cucumber, fish, tuna or chicken. It's your choice!

Instructions on how to make sushi, first of all you will find a flat surface to put the nori sheet. Furthermore, you will get your rice and spread it all over the nori sheet but make sure that you don’t put too much rice or else it will be difficult to roll. Next you will grab your desired toppings, and place it to the end of the nori sheet, make sure it won’t fall off. Then next you will be rolling the sushi gently until it forms a long cylinder. Now that you have rolled your sushi, you will grab a knife and slice the roll! Be sure to cut it in even slices so others can devour it equally. Now plate it in a nice presentable plate and serve!
